With over 28 golf courses within 15 miles of the city, it’s no wonder that Vista is one of the great centers for golfing in California. Among these are the Shadowridge Golf Club on Gateway Drive, a private, 18 hole, 6943 yard par 72, and Vista Valley Country Club on Vista Valley Drive, a private 18 hole 6345 yard par 72. Located halfway between the coast and Escondido, Vista has easy access to other private courses including Castle Creek Country Club, Meadow Lake Golf Club, and the Lawrence Welk Resort which features the Fountains and the Oaks, both 36-hole courses that make for a beautiful day of golf in the dry air of inland San Diego County.
