Valley Center Dining

Valley Center is a fairly remote community in the San Diego backcountry, but a wide selection of dining opportunities from family-style to romantic cafes can be found in nearby Escondido. Some of the more popular restaurants include the casual, yet delicious California-cuisine of the 150 Grand Café (150 Grand Ave); the Acapulco Mexican Restaurant, which features a full bar; the Bistro, an intimate 60-seat bistro with sidewalk patio in the downtown Escondido arts district near art galleries and antique shops; the Fireside on West Washington for moderately-price steak and prime rib, and for great seafood, there’s the Sand Crab Café at 222 Micro Place which serves crabs by the bucket with corn, potatoes, and spicy Louisiana sausage. There are also chain family-style restaurants and upscale French cuisine restaurants.
