University City Schools

University City is a community dedicated to strong schools and outstanding teachers. It has many award-winning schools, including three elementary schools (Doyle Elementary, Spreckels Elementary, and Curie Elementary), one middle school (Stanley Middle School), and University City High School (9-12) with a student population of nearly 2,000. The high school is one of the best in the San Diego area, consistently ranking above state averages on testing. The School ranks 173 in the nation on Newsweek's List of Best High Schools. The University City area is committed to maintaining a low ratio of students to teachers, and is a highly desirable neighborhood for a good education.
