University City Dining

University City has some great family-style restaurants located in the shopping areas along Genessee Boulevard, including Thai, Italian, Mexican, and American cuisine. And nearby, there’s the Simas Grill & Deli and Taste of India. Chain restaurants are found along both roads and along nearby the 805 highway and I-5. There are not many small bistros, but specialty food shops for Thai, Asian, and Mexican can be found in the strip-malls nearby, and more upscale restaurants can be found more toward the coast in La Jolla.
