Tierrasanta Schools

Tierrasanta is served by the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) and has several elementary and junior high schools rated in the top percent through Academic Performance Index (API) tests by the California Education Department, as well as Junípero Serra High School, which was named #119 of the top high schools in America by Newsweek Magazine in May 2006. The student population is extremely diverse, representing more than 15 ethnic groups and over 60 languages and dialects. The district has grown to more than 250 educational facilities with 14,555 full-time equivalent staff positions representing more than 15,800 employees.
