San Diego is home to some of the most beautiful golf courses in the world. The year-round gorgeous weather means you can pick up your clubs and head for the fairways anytime. Among the tournaments, the municipal public course at Torrey Pines is the site each February of the Buick Invitational, which Tiger Woods has won four of the past five years. Torrey Pines will be the site of the US Open in 2008 and annually hosts the Junior World Championships each July.

Another great San Diego tournament is the Accenture Match Play at La Costa Resort & Spa which pits the best 64 players in the world against each other in match play. In addition to these two courses, there are over sixty private, public, executive, and military courses available throughout the area, including such well known courses as The Crosby and The Bridges at Rancho Santa Fe.
