San Carlos Recreation and Parks

San Carlos is next to Mission Trails Regional Park, one of the best places in San Diego to go for a hike and enjoy the San Diego canyons. Also nearby is Lake Murray where you can enjoy water sports and weekends boating. San Carlos is also close to I-8 and Qualcomm Stadium, home of the San Diego Chargers and the San Diego State University (SDSU) Aztecs football teams, although the site for a new stadium is currently under discussion. On the other end of I-8, at the outlet of Mission Valley is SeaWorld, Mission Bay, and many other San Diego attractions. Also, nearby is the quiet ambience and old world architecture of Balboa Park, a great place to spend the day with the family or for visiting at night for a play at the Old Globe theater.
