Pacific Beach Nightlife
Pacific Beach is the place to be when it comes to nightlife! Garnet has a variety of bars along either side of the street that fit anyone's style and idea of nighttime fun. PB is also the perfect place to hang out with friends, meet singles, and just have a good time. All of the bars here have nightly specials and happy hours, as well as theme nights, such as the ever popular 80s nights and taco Tuesdays. Cab services run all night around the beach in case those nights do get a little out of control, but otherwise most PB locals walk, skateboard, or ride their bikes to the bars.
PB Bar and Grill is known as the “hottest singles bar” in San Diego, and is definitely one of the more popular bars drawing crowds of all types of people. For sports enthusiasts, the bar features 72 large screen TVs throughout the bar, as well as pool tables, darts, and a video game room. And depending on your mood, whether you want to sit outside on their patio and have a few drinks with some buddies, play a game of pool, or dance the night away in the adjoined bar Club Tremors' two dance floors, PB Bar and Grill has something for everyone. The bar is open until 2 am every night, and has a variety of nightly specials from both the bar and kitchen. The food here is always good, and taco Tuesday is a must, serving up $1.50 tacos and drink specials on their Mexican imported beer and house margaritas. Come check out PB Bar and Grill any night of the week and come prepared to have some fun!

This is only the beginning…continuing up Garnet, you will find plenty more bars to call home for the night or to stop in for a drink or two before hitting the next one.
Cabo Cantina is a newer bar to the area, but is definitely making up for lost time. They have happy hour every night with buy one get one drink specials and their kitchen is open until 11 pm, serving up huge portions of delicious Mexican favorites (burritos, tacos, quesadillas, etc.). The bartenders are super friendly and will challenge anyone to a rousing game of Battleship or Connect Four or any of the other old school games they keep behind the counter. The drinks here are strong, the vibe is casual and laid back, but full of energy, and the crowd is always hot. The bartenders aren't so bad looking either here. Hit up Cabo before the rest of the bars…it's only open ‘til midnight, which is plenty of time to take advantage of the 2 for drinks and always spinning jukebox.

Plum Crazy is another PB bar that has a bit more of a laid back vibe to it, but still full of energy and fun. Located next to Cabo Cantina , this bar is a great place to stop into at some point during the night before they close at 2 am. Plum Crazy always draws a large local crowd so plan on coming early because the line outside tends to get long. Here you will find specials on their over 60 beers they have on tap, $1 jello shots and liquor shots all night long on the weekends, and an attractive crowd that has all come together for one reason-to have fun!

RT's Longboard Grill continues with the laid back flow and welcomes everyone in like old time friends. The bar's beach scene is complete with thatched umbrella tables up front, vintage surfboards throughout, as well as neon signs, and good flow of energy. Sunday nights are reserved for live reggae music that always draws a large crowd of people who like to jam with their Red Stripes Jamaican beer and the band. The bar has nightly specials that includes a 99 cent fish taco Tuesdays and a menu that be tried. Here the feel good vibes are free flowin' and full of fun. Stop into Longboard's any night of the week and hang out either on inside the bar or outside on their deck that faces Garnet.

For a more than casual vibe, head on over to Typhoon Saloon , where the hip crowd and high energy atmosphere always ensures a good night. The crowd here is young and always ready to party out on the dance floor or in the front bar area. Wednesday nights are reserved for 80s night and the flamboyant 80s cover band Metal Skool. Typhoon is another popular bar so the line tends to get longer later into the night with plenty of twenty-something's to please the eye. The scene here is a little more trendy and dress code is strictly enforced, so if you aren't the button up collared shirt type of guy and prefer your Rainbows to dress shoes, then you have better bets somewhere else..but if not-come in, grab some drinks, and get ready to get crazy!
