Olivenhain is a rural community in Encinitas. Formerly the site of olive groves, Olivenhain became a residential community after World War II. Located a few minutes from the beach, and to the north of Ranch Santa Fe, Olivenhain combines quiet country living with modern amenities and coastal access. Originally established by German immigrants in 1884, it was incorporated into the city of Encinitas in 1986.
