Ocean Beach Recreation and Parks

Ocean Beach has excellent programs in aquatics, youth sports, beautiful parks with views of the ocean, public tennis courts, and other easily accessible recreation centers and parks that enable families and individuals to take advantage of the beautiful weather and year-round sporting activities. Cabrillo National Monument is the national park on the very tip of the peninsular where you can take in a beautiful view of the city and bay and during low-tide, search the tide-pools along the coast. The site honors Juan Cabrillo who was the first Spaniard to see the area in 1542. There are trails along the cliffs and the peninsular is also a great place for a bike ride.
