National City Schools

National City is served by the National School District with ten elementary schools: Central Elementary, El Toyon Elementary, Ira Harbison – a Blue Ribbon School 2006 and California Distinguished School 2004, John Otis Elementary, Kimball Elementary – another California Distinguished School, Las Palmas Elementary, Lincoln Acres, Olivewood, Palmer Way, and Rancho de la Nacion. National City's public middle and high schools are in the Sweetwater Union High School District and include National City Middle School, Granger Junior High School, and Sweetwater High School.
