One of Mission Beach's most historic and well known landmarks is the Giant Dipper, the second oldest wooden roller coaster in the United States. The Giant Dipper can be found at Belmont Park, along with a series of small shops, amusement rides, including a merry-go-round, and sweet treats stands. Belmont Park is also home to the Wavehouse, which boasts not only an outdoor tropical grill and bar setting, but also the now infamous wave simulator, the FlowRider. People can test their skills against this simulated wave or watch professional athletes such as Sunny Garcia, Tony Hawk, and Andy MacDonald battle it out against these continuous crashing waves and barrels.
