Leucadia Recreation and Parks

Leucadia is a surfer’s surf town with great spots like Grand View, Beacon’s and Stone Steps. And there’s several surf schools such as the Leucadia Surf School that offer expert instruction, camps, and group lessons. Recreational areas include Glen Park, with tennis and basketball courts, a children's play area, and picnic tables. Nearby seaside lagoons offer hiking trails as well as some camping facilities. A 2.5 acre park, Leucadia Oaks Park, at Vulcan Avenue and Sanford Street, is the first public skateboarding area in the city. There are county and state parks nearby such as San Elijo State Park offering a secluded get-away from the hurried life, and weekend activities for people of all ages.
