The “Master Brewer” himself, Karl Strauss, designed and trains each of the restaurant's brewers on the brewery operations and processes to create the premium and well known ales the restaurant serves. Karl Strauss Brewery serves ales representing the La Jolla and southern California area with names like “Windansea Wheat Hefeweizen” and the “Endless Summer Light,” as well as a long list of their “special release” beers that are offered throughout the year.
Extending beyond their “burgers and sandwiches” menu selection to “steaks and chops,” there is a wide variety of menu options to choose from, and something for everyone's likings. The brewery also features a “brewery favorites” on the menu list, where you know you can't go wrong.
