Imperial Beach Recreation and Parks

One of the most appreciated features of Imperial Beach recreational life is the Tijuana Estuary Visitor Center, a great family-oriented wildlife site where you can study the tidepools, flora, and fauna of the South Bay area. In the Imperial Beach city itself is the Sports Park Recreation Center which offers youth programs, adult fitness classes, and great sport facilities for the community. And nearby on Coronado Avenue is the South Bay Recreation Center. Also nearby is the Chula Vista Nature Center is an internationally recognized zoo/aquarium exhibiting plants and animals native to marsh/wetland habitats. The Center provides guided tours and children’s programs throughout the year.
