Del Cerro Schools

Del Cerro, just off I-8 east of downtown San Diego has two established schools in the area that are well respected: Phoebe Hearst Elementary School and Patrick Henry High School, where Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams went to high school. The schools are part of the San Diego City School District, which ranks high in California’s educational scoring. The San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) is the second largest district in California, and eighth largest urban district in the United States. The student population is extremely diverse, representing more than 15 ethnic groups.
