Bonsall Recreation and Parks

Bonsall does not have its own county or state park, but is near some of the best backcountry outing areas in Southern California. A further drive up hwy 76 and you are in the region of Mt. Palomar, where you can enjoy hiking and camping in old-growth forests. In addition, the natural beauty of the area includes native plant communities such as oak woodland, coastal sage scrub and chaparral. It makes for a great day of hiking and exploring the Southern California backcountry within easy distance of the coast.
