Alpine Schools

Alpine, east of downtown San Diego off the 52 freeway and near Lakeside, is in the Alpine Union School District, an award-winning district that attracts high-quality teachers from around the country. The Alpine Union School District includes Alpine Elementary School (1-5); Boulder Oaks Elementary School (1-5); Joan MacQueen Middle School (6-8); Shadow Hills Elementary School (K-5). and the Grossmont Union High School District rank among the best, earning several local, state, and national awards for academic excellence. The schools also have outstanding extracurricular activities from sports to fine arts. The area is also near the Grossmont Community College District, which has two award-winning community colleges, Grossmont and Cuyamaca.
